A TREDEGAR toddler named a ‘Little Star’ after battling cancer mixed with the celebrities at an awards ceremony to celebrate his bravery.
Cameron Hudd, three, of United Way, was an ambassador at the Little Star Awards party held at London Zoo by Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx.
There he represented 220 children from across the country who have received the Little Star award for bravery.
The Argus reported back in January how Cameron Hudd, three, received the award from Cancer Research UK for his outstanding bravery in his fight against cancer.
This was after he had undergone gruelling courses of chemotherapy and six operations including biopsies on smaller tumours on his neck and chest, after being diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a tumour in his spine at just three months old.
Cameron’s parents, Catherine and Robert, were also told he would not be able to walk again due to the tumour crushing his spine.
But following a gruelling course of chemotherapy and surgery the youngster was given the all-clear at the beginning of the year.
Last month we reported that an Argus fundraising campaign with charity Caudwell Children had raised nearly £3,000 to buy Cameron a specially adapted bike.
