THREE teenagers were arrested following a burglary at a Newport Tesco store in the early hours of yesterday.
A 19-year-old man and two boys aged 17 and 16 were still in police custody, being questioned last night.
Police were called to Tesco Express, Malpas Road, at 1.20am after receiving reports of a burglary. Thieves entered by smashing the glass front door of the shop before making off with alcohol, confectionery and scratch cards.
The three teenagers were arrested a few hours later.
A Tesco spokeswoman confirmed there was a break-in at the store and said staff were helping police with their inquiries.
