POLICE recovered a combustible chemical yesterday morning which had been reported stolen fromthe back of a lorry in Ebbw Vale.
The 20kg cardboard box containing Perkadox, a white powder, which had been hidden behind a building, was found by police at 7am yesterday.
The box was 50 yards from where it was stolen from the lorry, parked at the side of Ebbw Vale leisure centre at around 10.30pm on Monday.
The chemical, which was sealed in a plastic bag inside the box, needs to be stored below a certain temperature due to it being combustible, and is an irritant to skin and eyes.
No arrests have been made and police are continuing investigations.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.
