STAFF from a Newport car sales company will complete five 5k runs in a bid to raise £2,0000 for Cancer Research UK.
A team of 18 women from Sinclair Volkswagen in Newport and Cardiff completed the Cardiff Race for Life and have now committed to take on four more over the next few months.
And the company is showing full support for its team, dubbed The Sinclair Pink Ladies, by agreeing to increase the money raised to the nearest thousand pound mark.
Team member Alida Smith said: “We are a mixture of experienced and novice runners who are determined to help raise awareness and support the wonderful work of Cancer Research.
“We are delighted that our employers are supporting us in such a generous way and this has really spurred us on to raise as much as possible.”
Operation manager Clive Williams said the firm was proud to support such a worthy cause and wished the team success in their next race.
