FUNDRAISERS in Chepstow have joined forces for the fifth year in a row to organise a charity midsummer supper and barbeque to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This year’s event is an informal barbecue with live music and open bar, and will take place from 6.30pm on June 25 at The Woodlands, Sedbury Park. Tickets are £15 per person, and all proceeds will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support in Gwent.
The ten local members have organised this event for the last five years, and group chairman Ann King said: “We chose Macmillan Cancer Support to fundraise for because all our members have experienced a loss from cancer.
“Cancer affects everyone’s life and what Macmillan does is to support the patients’ whole journey, from diagnosis and beyond, which is very special.”
The event is open to all. If you would like to buy tickets, ring Ann King on 01291 624064, or treasurer Janet Arden on 01291 630363.
