A CHARITY 24-hour gym session raised more than £1,200 for the Sparkle appeal.
The Argus previously reported how Earl Palmer, of Newport, was taking on the challenge with friends to raise money for the appeal for which Mr Palmer’s cousin Daniel May is an ambassador.
Daniel suffers from a complex spine disorder and is one of the 1 , 2 0 0 G w e n t chi l d r e n who will b e n e f i t from the Serennu Children’s Centre in High Cross.
Mr Palmer, who works for Newport council’s sports development team, completed the challenge at Newport Active Living Centre, Newport High School, Bettws, with work colleague Anthony Thomas as well as Steven Lewis and Lewis Grant who work at the gym.
The funds raised include a donation from Rolls Royce.
