TORFAEN commuters to Cardiff can now benefit from more train services.
Arriva Trains Wales now offers a half-hourly service from Pontypool-New Inn station to the capital during the morning peak time as opposed to the two hour service that operated previously.
Cllr Bob Wellington, leader of Torfaen council and Welsh Local Government Association spokesman for transportation, planning and networks, said: “This news will be welcomed by the many Torfaen residents who commute to the capital on a regular basis.
“It is also good news for jobseekers as it gives them a real option to look for work in Cardiff and we would also expect to see people using this service to get to Torfaen.”
