Hundreds of schools across Gwent will be affected.
Caerphilly was the last Gwent council to confirm which of its schools will remain open, closed, or partially closed, with details of those affected revealed yesterday.
Eighteen schools in the old Islwyn area will close completely, including Blackwood, Newbridge and Oakdale Comprehensives, while many others will only be running a handful of classes.
Tomorrow’s strike is going ahead after talks between the government and union representatives failed on Monday.
Members of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, the University and College Union, and the National Union of Teachers will strike, as well as members of public services union PCS.
PCS Wales campaIgn officer Darren Williams said the strike action taken by 2,800 of its members would affect services such as the Job Centre, Passport Office, Office for National Statistics, the Intellectual Property Office and the courts.
