A GWENT castle renovated to include all the luxuries of the most upmarket homes has gone on the market with a price tag of almost £3 million.
Kemeys Folly, in Langstone, near Newport, has gone up for sale with a guide price £2.75 million two years after owners Sarah and Dean Berry finished a remarkable transformation of the property, which saw it featured on Channel 4 show Grand Designs.
The renovation included demolishing parts of the Grade IIlisted building, reappointing the tower, and stripping out the inside of the property before it could be rewired, and an L-shape glass extension added on.
It was then kitted out to the highest standard, with gadgets including underfloor heating and a full house entertainment system. The couple would not reveal how much they spent on the project, but the cost is thought to have run into hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Mr and Mrs Berry moved in with their young son Ruben twoand- a-half years ago.
But the couple are now selling the folly through estate agent Savills, offering another family the chance to snap up a dream home.
