AS one half of Amateur Transplants, frontman AdamKay has seen sell-out tours and Edinburgh fringe runs and gained a cult following.
Now he’s going it alone for a series of one off shows.
Kay is a trained doctor who sings smutty songs. He started performing in 1998, quickly becoming well-known amongst the medical community.
Matters got out of hand in 2005 when the song London Underground - a tirade about the state of the tube - became an internet phenomenon, being downloaded over seven million times putting it in the iTunes top ten continuously since 2008.
As Amateur Transplants he has recorded two studio albums, “Fitness to Practice”
and “Unfit to Practise” and a live album, “In Theatre”, donating a proportion of album sales to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Their YouTube videos have in excess of 20 million views.
Adam Kay’s Smutty Songs is on at the Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff on July 14.
Tickets £11 at www.livetransplants.
