FAIRY wings, cowboy hats and Smurf costumes were among the crowd as 145 women completed the 10-mile "Midnight Walk" in aid of St Anne's Hospice.
More than £24,000 is hoped to be raised from the event which saw the women set off from the Newport Stadium as the clock struck midnight and complete the walk in the city.
President of Newport Chamber of Trade, Laura Buchanan-Smith kicked off the event along with fundraising business manager for St Anne's, Terry Woodsford.
Community fundraiser for St Anne's Hospice, Linda Davies said: "The sisters of St Joseph's and the staff and patients of St Anne's Hospice would like to say a huge thank you for being part of the fun in our third midnight walk."
Winners of the walk were Lynn Hunt, Ruth Jenkins and Ann Thompson who completed the walk in one hour and 10 minutes.
All funds raised will be donated to the hospice which provides free specialist in-patient care for people with progressive life-limiting illnesses.
An annual barbecue and Abbey open day will be held on September 3 at Llantarnam Abbey starting at 2pm to raise funds for the hospice.
Tickets are £5 each which includes a burger or hot dog and salad.
