FOR the second time hundreds flocked to Chepstow to meet Britain’s bestknown natural history filmmaker, Sir David Attenborough.
The rain held off as the queues built outside The Chepstow Bookshop. Young and old waited to get their signed copy of Sir David Attenborough’s latest book New Life Stories.
In the queue waiting to meet Sir David yesterday, was 13-year-old Megan Butler and her grandmother, Ann Jones.
Megan said: “I have watched his programmes on TV and he has inspired me to want to be a vet.
“In school my nickname is even Dr Attenborough.”
Ann added: “David seems to have a smile for everyone, even with all these people here today, which is lovely.”
This is the second time that the TV legend has visited the town. In 2009 hundreds queued up to have him sign copies of his book Life Stories.
Bookshop owner Matt Taylor said: “We are very pleased that he has decided to do a book signing here for a second time. He has a large fan base, young and old, who are inspired by his work.”
Sir David has been a naturalist and broadcaster for nearly five decades and there are few places on the globe that he has not visited.
