PUPILS at a Cwmbran school put a skip in their step to raise money for charity.
Youngsters at Woodlands Community Primary School in Thornhill took part in the daylong skipathon to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
The school is working with the charity’s Hearty Lives Torfaen, which encourages people to live a healthier lifestyle. The skipathon formed part of this partnership and has raised approximately £1,000.
Every child in the school took part in individual, group or whole class skipping exercises and the youngsters took part in playtime and lunchtime skipping clubs to sharpen their skills before the big day.

The skipathon was one of a series of sporting events at the school last week, including a five-a-side football tournament, dodgeball competition and a Zumba event.
