AN EBBW Vale man will be taking part in one of Caerphilly county’s biggest events – which last year attracted 80,000 people and is to be staged next weekend.
The Big Cheese takes place around the grounds of Caerphilly Castle, with a host of famous names and celebrities set to appear.
Former Coronation Street favourite Sean Wilson, who played Martin Platt in the ITV soap, will attend.
The actor will be at the summer festival with the Saddleworth Cheese Company and will take part in cookery demonstrations.
Ex-Wales and Lions rugby star Scott Quinnell will also be promoting the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Britain’s Got Talent semifinalist NathanWyburn, from Ebbw Vale, will also show off his talents.The event kicks off on Friday evening with a cheese race through the town and then a fireworks display.
There will be a free bus service helping people from Risca, Cross Keys, Wattsville, Cwmfelinfach, Ynysddu, Blackwood, Cefn Fforest, Pontllanfraith and Maesycwmmer get to the event. Call 02920 880011.
