A MULTI-AWARD winning production of RC Sherriff's masterpiece Journey’s End comes to Cardiff’s New Theatre this autumn.
Based on the author's own experience in the trenches, it is a gripping tale about ordinary men in extraordinary circumstances.
The play celebrates the humour and courage of the ordinary British soldier during the horrors of the First World War, engaging audiences with a compelling insight of how in the face of adversity, the human spirit can triumph.
Set in France in 1917, 18-year-old 2nd Lieutenant Raleigh is the new arrival in the company commanded by his former schoolboy friend Captain Stanhope.
There's only three years between them, but a lifetime of experience separates the pair as Raleigh discovers that the man in army greens is much changed from the boy he left behind in cricket whites.
The show runs between October 18 and 22.
Tickets are available from the box office on 02920 878889 and at www.newtheatrecardiff.co.uk
