THE motorway tunnel closed by a devastating lorry fire since Tuesday reopened this afternoon.
Welsh Government traffic officers and police have worked to remove the contraflow through the M4 Brynglas Tunnels, needed after Tuesday's lorry fire in the westbound tunnel.
Officials said cars should now be able to use the westbound tunnel.
However because of limited lighting following the fire, the route will be subject to a 30mph speed limit.
