A VALLEYS dance group got a £250 grant to help towards running costs.
Ebbw Vale's Kemistry Dance Group, which is made up of street dancers aged ten and under, will use the cash for entry fees to competitions, travelling costs and room hire, as well as purchasing costumes.
The group relies on fundraising to support the children’s dancing from rehearsals to competitions.
Kemistry was awarded the money from the Co-Operative’s Community Fund, which hands out grants ranging from £100 up to £2,000.
Kemistry's Sharon Griffin said although the children had had been doing a lot of fundraising, "it is wonderful to get this additional cash as a boost to their efforts."
