CHEPSTOW’S Diamond Jubilee race meeting will feature a special exhibition looking at the Queen’s most memorable moments as a racehorse owner and avid fan of the sport.
Race-goers attending the June 4 event will have the chance to browse more than 50 photographs, including several rarely seen images from the 1940s and 1950s.
Other pictures capture her delight in the winners’ enclosure, or in conversation with famous trainers and jockeys who have served the monarch over the years.
The exhibition, called All The Queen’s Horses, will then be going on a tour of the UK this summer.
Next month’s British Street Party raceday will also feature a number of family activities and all horses competing will be wearing bespoke Union Flag number cloths.
