BEDWELLTY Show takes place tomorrow at the show field, Cefn Forest, Blackwood, from 9am until 5pm.
This year, there will be a variety of main ring attractions to provide lots of interaction and entertainment, among them Bob Hogg and his sheepdog and geese demonstration, Rowan Working Horses, vintage tractors, the popular terrier and lurcher racing and the Newport Gwent Dragons.
There are a variety of horse and pony classes that can be entered on the day, ideal for the local enthusiast: unaffiliated show jumping and a gymkhana organised by Islwyn Riding Club.
Also present will be a large number of cattle, sheep and pigs, and a YFC sheep shearing demonstration.
Visitors who prefer smaller animals can visit the poultry marquee to see a variety of birds or visit the rabbit show.
For dog lovers, there is the Hope Rescue family dog show and the terrier and lurcher show.
Other attractions include the horticulture section, Black Mountain Falconry, racing ferrets, Gelligaer Foxhounds, tug of war, children’s races and a craft competition, as well as a variety of trade stands, refreshments and fairground amusements.
Entry for adults is £5 while concessions and children over three are £3. Car parking is free.
