Chapel Garage Service Station in Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Certas Energy site’ category, sponsored by Londis, in the SuperStation Awards 2013. The SuperStation retail industry awards, which are in their second year running, have been designed to recognise and reward the highest standards in forecourt retailing.
Assessed by a pane of industry specialists, the Awards encourage the highest industry standards, including elements such as forecourt appearance, diversity of product offering, customer service, innovation in business strategy and generally setting a benchmark standard for the industry. The winners will be announced at the SuperStation Gala Dinner, sponsored by ID Maintenance, at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Coldfield later this month.
Chapel Garage is a popular service station situated in a Welsh village of Brynmawr, which is frequented by local customers. This hands-on, family run, business has a dedicated team of employees who manage to keep a lot of customers very happy. The shop is well presented with a delicious bakery, to which customers travel from afar to taste its delights.
The site shop was recently branded Mace which has enhanced the offering and has been met with great enthusiasm by the site’s customers, with plenty of offers to tempt their loyal customer base
Lyndon Cook at Chapel Garage commented, “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award for the second time running. I hope, with our improvements over the last year, it could be our turn to win! The team at Chapel Garage work hard all year round to ensure our site is kept to an immaculate standard so we continue to entice customers to return again and again with our range of produce, visibly attractive layout and friendly, knowledgeable staff to top it off. We’re already looking forward to the ceremony in October and will be proud of our achievement, whatever the outcome.”
Ramsay MacDonald, Certas energy retail director, said: “To be nominated for an award is a mark of quality and professionalism. There is a tough selection process, so the three sites selected in this category really stood out from the competition. This is just the second year the Awards have been running and already we are seeing a marked improvement across our sites based on the feedback and support we’ve provided throughout the past year. This is a standards competition and we will continue to drive for continued improvement year upon year.”
