Chapel Garage Service Station in Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, wins ‘Best Certas Energy site’ award, sponsored by Londis, in the SuperStation Awards 2013.
Chapel Garage received the coveted award at the SuperStation Gala Dinner, sponsored by ID Maintenance, at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Coldfield.
Hosted by Certas Energy, the ’SuperStation’ retail industry awards, which are in their second year running, have been designed to recognise and reward the highest standards in forecourt retailing.
Lyndon Cook said: “We were shortlisted last year; to go that step further and win the award this year is terrific.
"Since the assessment last year, all the team at Chapel Garage has worked tremendously hard to ensure that we’ve upped our game even further. We are incredibly proud of our site standards, with all areas kept spotlessly clean and tidy, creating a retailing environment which is attractive and very customer friendly. In addition, the personable, knowledgeable approach of our staff encourages our customers to return time and time again. So I thank all of my staff for their part in winning this award and also to encourage them to keep up the hard work so we can take the title again next year.”
Chapel Garage is a popular service station situated in a Welsh village of Brynmawr, which is frequented by local customers. This hands-on, family run, business has a dedicated team of employees who manage to keep a lot of customers very happy. The shop is well presented with a delicious bakery, to which customers travel from afar to taste its delights.
Ramsay MacDonald, Certas Energy Retail Director, commented “To win a SuperStation award is a mark of quality and professionalism. There is a tough selection process, so the three sites selected in this category really stood out from the competition. This is just the second year the Awards have been running and already we are seeing a marked improvement across our sites based on the feedback and support we’ve provided throughout the past year. This is a standards competition and we will continue to drive for continued improvement year upon year.”
