One of Wales’ fastest growing IT consultancies, Newport-based Certus TG, has signed a three year contract with Llantrisant-based compliance management consultancy Riskmonitor.
As part of the £60,000 contract, Riskmonitor’s web-based compliancy software RAMIS:LIVE will be hosted from Certus’s world-class data centre in Newport, where it will benefit from tight security, a robust back-up and disaster recovery service, and around-the-clock customer service.
Riskmonitor’s servers and data storage will be relocated to the data centre, which is housed within Next Generation Data’s 750,000 square foot facility at the Celtic Technology Centre in Newport, and Certus will support the IT infrastructure at Riskmonitor’s new premises in Llantrisant.
Paul Brown, CEO of Certus TG, said: “A company such as Riskmonitor deals with a huge amount of highly sensitive information everyday and needs to be confident, not only that the data is secure, but that it is easily recoverable and accessible in the event of any technical failures. Our data centre will give them 24-hour access to their data without any disruptions or downtime, secure back-up systems and tight physical security.
“We are pleased to welcome Riskmonitor on-board and look forward to working with the team closely over the coming years.”
David Dean, CEO of Riskmonitor, established the business in 2000 and is currently overseeing the company through a period of growth and expansion. Finding a reliable partner to assist and advise the company during this time was essential.
Mr Dean said: “We provide risk assessment services and solutions for clients such as HSBC Bank, Virgin Media, Interserve and Carillion, as well as local authorities across Wales, and as such, data security and disaster recovery are absolutely paramount to what we do.
“Many of our operatives work from home and are always out on the road, and so they also need to be able to have access to information on the go.
“We chose Certus TG as it has an excellent reputation for its data storage and cloud computing services, the security of its data centre and the quality of its customer care.”
The Certus Data Centre is located away from potential disruptions such as flood plains and flight paths, and benefits from multilayered security including 24 hour security patrols, full CCTV coverage, security fencing, reinforced concrete walls, and digital trips wires. It also benefits from a direct connection to the National Grid which provides 90MW of power and means it is unlikely to ever suffer from a power outage.
Certus TG is headquartered at the Celtic Springs Business Park in Newport and currently serves over 200 customers across the UK and Europe. Clients include online insurance specialist Go Compare, the Millennium Stadium, Freshwater, Broomfield & Alexander, Premier Global, Julian Hodge Bank, Tenovus and Watts Gregory LLP.
