MLC Technology, currently trading from Newport Enterprise Park, has successfully completed another installation - of the Predator IV Shredder in Avonmouth for Sims Metal Management, a global Australia-based company.
Paul Clatworthy, director at MLC, said: "It was a complex project but that’s our background and where our experience lies so we took it all in our stride’ stated. Like any good business we get a great sense of pride and satisfaction when the job is finished and our customers are happy with the results.
"Our shredders are incredible, they take in anything from a car to a keyboard which after processing become new raw materials," said managing director Tony Morgan.
"Recycling targets set for the UK are achievable if businesses focus on what can be done. It really is very rewarding to see old and disused items being reused and recycled – we have to think about future generations and managing our world resources effectively’ he continued. Figures suggest that the UK is gaining some momentum with heavy duty recycling and the British Metals Recycling Association claims that processing ferrous and non ferrous metal scrap into vital secondary raw materials is a £5.6bn UK industry employing more than 8,000 people.
Paul said: "We are in talks with a number of new and existing customers so hope 2014 will be another busy year for us and therefore recycling."
"We are well established with a proven track record so we know how to help businesses achieve their goals and can help them reach recycling targets," he said.
