South Wales-based chartered accountants, UHY Peacheys, has appointed four new professionals to support its growing client base and the continued expansion of its service offering.

Ricki Morgan joins the practice’s business advisory department as a senior accountant and is joined by accounts assistant, Carys Chapman.

With five years’ experience gained working with south Wales-based accountancy practices, Ricki has developed in-depth experience working with sole traders, partnerships and limited company clients. Carys joins the team following two years working at a firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury. Carys will work across a range of clients including the Boots Opticians group.

Trainee accountant Cerys Cotterell is the latest addition to the firm’s growing Audit and Assurance team. A graduate of Newport University, Cerys will join the audit team to work across a broad range of clients. To facilitate the firm’s well-established and growing Abergavenny office, Sophie Bassett takes the role of accounts assistant where she will work across a diverse client portfolio.

Paul Byett, managing partner at UHY Peacheys, said: “Ricki, Carys, Cerys and Sophie join us at an exciting time for the group and their arrival will help us to continue to service our ever-growing list of clients in south Wales and beyond. We are committed to recruiting and retaining the very best local talent and we are confident that each of the new recruits will play an important role in the future growth of the business.”

From January 1, 2014, UHY Peacheys will be renamed UHY Hacker Young. The move will enable the firm’s flagship Newport office to align itself with its sister branches, UHY Hacker Young Abergavenny and UHY Hacker Young Bristol, and the wider UHY Hacker Young network.
