Newport-based recruitment and training specialist Acorn has been shortlisted in the annual Jobsite RecruitRank Awards 2013.
Recognising best practice and quality customer service in recruitment agencies, the awards are the only ones in the industry where finalists and winners are chosen by feedback from job-seekers themselves, and not a panel of industry judges.
Acorn has been voted as a top ten finalist in the prestigious ‘Best Recruitment Agency’ category.
Acorn’s Group marketing director, Dan Langford said: “This is great news for Acorn and testament to all the hard work that our staff do on a day-to-day basis. We are working in an increasingly digital age and this award shows that it is still important to engage with people – something we work hard at to ensure that we develop and maintain strong relationships, not just with employers but also with those people who are looking for our support as they look for work.
“These awards are voted for by the job-seekers who actually use, and benefit from, our services and therefore, out of the 9,500 agencies UK-wide it is extremely gratifying that the staff here at Acorn should be recognised so highly.”
The finalists within each category were selected through a culmination of feedback from job-seekers in a 12-month period using the RecruitRank tool on Jobsite.
With more than 20 years in the business, Acorn operates from 38 locations throughout the UK, finding jobs for up to 5,000 agency workers with over 850 different clients each week. The group also delivers training to more than 3,000 individuals and makes 1,700 permanent placements every year.
