It will bring 35 jobs to the area and facilities will include spacious rooms – all with en-suite, café, coffee lounge for residents and their families and landscaped gardens.
The construction work has been completed by local contractors ensuring further investment and support of the local business community.
A funding package has been secured to support the construction of the new care home which consists of the Government backed Funding for Lending loan facilities arranged by Graeme Tipple from The Royal Bank of Scotland.
Arun Patel, from Llantarnam Care Home, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming residents to our new home which has been purpose built and incorporates the very latest equipment and the high standard of care that comes with all of our homes. We currently have three other care homes in Cardiff and Newport, making Llantarnam our fourth. We have been very happy with the support from RBS and all the contractors and individuals involved with the completion of this project. We are very excited to open our doors in spring.”
Graeme Tipple, Relationship Director, RBS, said:: “Arun and Rita are extremely experienced care operators and we are delighted to be working with them to help them with the completion of the new home in Llantarnam. Using the Funding for Lending Scheme has enabled them to take advantage of the no arrangement fees agreement and demonstrates that we are keen to support local businesses and care home operators. The addition of the home provides not only exceptional new care for those suffering with dementia but also a fantastic investment in the local community with the creation of new jobs.”
