They are the Abergavenny Fine Food Company,l The Celt Experience, of Caerphilly, Ancre Hill Estate, of Monmouth and Crumlin-based Hallets Real Cider.
Co-ordinated by the Welsh Government’s Food Division, the producers will be welcomed at Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, John Lewis Food Hall Oxford Street, Partridges and Marks & Spencer Marble Arch and the company’s stores across Wales.
The activity will be starting on February 24 at Marks & Spencer Marble Arch with Welsh cake tasting until March 1. The next place to begin to celebrate will be Harrods, in the world famous Meat Hall - with tastings from Welsh meat and fish producers over February 27, 28 and St David's Day.
Fortnum & Mason follows this as Food & Drink Wales takes over their food market with around 15 producers on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1. John Lewis will be joining in on St David's Day, by welcoming food producers all through the John Lewis Food Hall on Oxford Street.
There will also be activity in Marks & Spencer stores across Wales, running Welsh cake tastings from February 24 to March 1. By March 2 everyone should know what a traditional Welsh cake is and how to enjoy it, whether you try one in London or Wales!
Tim French, of Fortnum & Mason, said: "We are thrilled to be teaming with Food & Drink Wales for this event. From butchers to cheesemakers and bakers, there will be 15 different, individual producers present, including firm favourites Halen Môn salts and Ancre Hill sparkling wine."
