Convey Law, a licensed conveyancing firm based in Newport, has invested £200,000 to refurbish the office premises at Stow Hill, Newport and develop new IT systems, supported by Barclays.
The £200,000 investment will support the business growth strategy, as it forecasts to grow turnover by more than 15 per cent during 2014 to £3,500,000 and recruit another 10 staff.
Convey Law is one of the largest conveyancing companies in Wales and celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, specialising in property conveyancing, currently employing 75 staff.
Lloyd Davies, managing director at Convey Law, said: “Investment in our offices in Newport city centre is vital to ensure we are able to meet demand and deliver our growth objectives. We operate a conveyancing system which means that administrative and legal tasks are undertaken by specialist departments in order to ensure that transactions progress quickly and that adequate due diligence is provided in relation to each transaction.
"This system allows our conveyancers to communicate effectively with their clients and introducers of business, so that transactions proceed as quickly as possible to completion. We are recording client service ratings of more than 90 per cent and transaction times are the fastest in the UK.”
Jason Llewellyn, relationship director for Barclays, said: “By working closely and really understanding the business, Barclays has been able to support Convey Law financially and professionally throughout the investment project. This is a Welsh headquartered business, growing in a competitive sector, looking to expand and creating quality jobs within the local community. In addition to job creation the company also has a workforce committed to “putting something back” and has raised over £165,000 for local charities over the last four years.”
Lloyd Davies said: “We invest in our business and we invest in our people, which we believe is fundamental to our success. We are one of the largest providers of conveyancing services on the internet where we offer a wide range of products and services backed up with the Convey Law promise of excellent service and speed.
"The new investment will enable us to implement a new state of the art Case Management System this year which will make it easier for us and our clients to process their transactions and enhance our communication facilities. We are already looking to expand our existing team of conveyancers and paralegals who want to work in a quality environment and have customer care at their core.”
