Members and guests of The City of Newport Business Club, who attended the recent event, were treated to an enjoyable display of singing by Only 4 Men Aloud.
Four talented members of popular choir Only Men Aloud - David Fortey, Wyn Davies, Niall Allen and Stephen Hamnett - sang a series of song arrangements including with French Opera and finishing with their specially-arranged version of the Welsh classic song Calon Lan.
In between songs they explained the philosophy behind their charity, The Aloud Charity, and the continued commitment of Tim Rhys Evans and his choirs in promoting and bringing music and song into the urban areas and Valley towns of Wales.
Janine Dance, chairman of the business club, said: “What an absolute honour and a privilege to be able to sit and witness such a fabulous display of true singing talent. To be so close and witness the power and control of four absolutely beautiful voices was such a rare and unforgettable treat.”
Julie Vellucci, head of Regeneration & Regulatory Services at Newport City Council won the business card raffle of a four ball at St Pierre Golf Club, which was donated by business club sponsor Underwood Insurance Services. She will re-auction it at her work with all proceeds going back to The Aloud Charity.
The next City of Newport Business Club event will take place on March 18, starting noon with a talk on ‘How Safe is Your Data?’
Tickets to attend this lunch time event will cost £25.
