Newport-based care home provider New Bridges Care is expanding its operations and moving to permanent offices at the 24 Severn Langstone Business Park following a deal brokered between Bruton Knowles and Huw Thomas CPC.

New Bridges Care, which provides residential care for people with acquired brain injury and complex needs, has taken 2,583 sq ft of new Grade A office space on the ground floor of Wye House not far from the Coldra roundabout on the eastern outskirts of Newport.

Huw Thomas Commercial Property Consultancy acted on behalf of the landlord, Robert Hitchins Limited.

Bruton Knowles head of agency Paul Williams said Newport was seeing increased levels of activity as the recovery gathers pace.

“New Bridges Care has been operating from serviced accommodation in Merlin House but has reached the point where they require larger premises of their own.

“The move to 24 Severn is significant as it gives them high quality head office accommodation near the motorway and main road network. New Bridges Care took a ten year lease with fifth year break option.

“The suite comprises new Grade A office space not previously occupied and is rated B on energy efficiency.”

Paul said the area had benefited from a number of regeneration projects in and around the city centre which would change the face of Newport.

“Wye House is a new office building offering quick and easy access to the M4, A449 and M48.”

Huw Thomas said: “We are delighted to welcome New Bridges to 24 Severn. They will be in good company alongside NFU Mutual, Robert Davies LLP Solicitors, PCF Print, Parrys Commercial, Handlesbanken and Pointone Epos.”
