Newport-based accountancy specialists Kilsby & Williams has expanded its business services team with two new appointments.
Lianne Gethin, a first class law graduate from Cardiff University, joins the company as an accounts assistant, helping to prepare accounts, VAT returns and company audits for clients.
Sophie Lander is the second appointment, taking on the role of payroll assistant having previously worked for NFU Mutual Insurance.
Simon Tee, business services partner at Kilsby & Williams, said: “Both Lianne and Sophie have the qualities and abilities needed to deliver a high level of client service and technical excellence for our clients.
“They will work alongside senior staff and become key members in the future of Kilsby & Williams. We are delighted to welcome them to our team.”
The business, which is based at the Celtic Springs Business Park, has also announced three promotions. Wesley Jones and Rebecca Burcher have been appointed senior assistants in the business services team, while Dafydd Ford has been made a client manager in the tax department.
Founded in 1991, Kilsby & Williams has a staff of 40. With clients spread throughout South Wales, the Midlands and the London area, it looks after businesses ranging from sole traders through to international companies.
Its sister company, Kilsby Williams & Gould specialises in wealth creation and preservation together with preparing for retirement, providing advice on all types of investment, pensions and life assurance for individuals and businesses.
