Individuals thinking of starting their own business are being encouraged to contact the Welsh Government’s Start Up Service to ensure their enterprises get off to a good start.
A marketing campaign is now underway to promote the support and advice available and features entrepreneurs from around Wales who have had help from the Start Up Service.
The service helps people access the support and advice they need to develop and prosper whether they are sole traders or start ups with high growth potential.
Between June 2008 and January 2014 the Business Start Up programme, which is backed by the European Regional Development Fund, helped establish more than 8,325 new enterprises and created more than 15,376 jobs – with a further 7,224 jobs set to be created by June 2015.
