A Newport-based company has been selected by digital giants Nagra Kudelski to roll out training programmes for its international staff.
Outsourced services specialists Smart Solutions, based at Langstone Business Park, has worked with Nagra Kudelski since 2012 after winning the contract to deliver leadership and team building programmes at its facilities in Cwmbran.
Now the company, whose training division puts around 2,000 people across the UK through targeted development programmes each year, is taking its programmes to Geneva to deliver them to staff from across Nagra’s global network.
It has already delivered training on presentation skills and report writing to Nagra’s senior staff, and future sessions will focus on team building and leadership for multicultural and trans-international organisations.
Jon Hayward, managing director of the training division of Smart Solutions, said: “We are really pleased to be able to expand the work we are doing with Nagra Kudelski.
“Delivering our training programmes in a foreign country presents new challenges for us - we must incorporate the particular nuances of each country and culturally fine-tune our content, but we are looking forward to tackling these challenges head-on.
“The fact that Nagra has decided the quality of the training experience we can provide is superior to anything that is on offer from across Europe is a testament to the hard work and professionalism of the training team."
Nagra Kudelski is part of the Swiss Kudelski Group and is a worldwide leader in delivering secure, end-to-end digital media technologies. Its UK office is based at the Llantarnam Business Park in Cwmbran, and it has 24 offices across the world, including eight in Europe.
Natalie Richards, UK HR manager for Nagra Kudelski, said: “Since appointing Smart Solutions in 2012, their targeted training programmes have help to up-skill the staff at our head office in the UK.
“We were impressed with the quality of the service they provided, which is second-to-none, and when it came to extending this training to our international staff it was a natural step to bring them on board.”
