St David’s Hospice Care has signed up Basepoint Chepstow as a new corporate sponsor.
Basepoint Chepstow recently demonstrated the start of its support for the charity by donating £3,000 after the staging of the St David’s Hospice Care Big Bike Ride in Monmouthshire.
The event saw 350 cyclists taking in a gruelling 77 mile ride which started at Rougemont School, Newport and travelled through Monmouthshire.
St David’s Hospice Care provide vital support to people with life threatening illnesses and to their families, allowing them to face the challenge of reaching the end of their lives with dignity and respect. St David’s Hospice Care provides hospice at home care, four day hospices and the inpatient services provided at St Anne’s Hospice, a 10-bed in-patient unit in Malpas, Newport.
Basepoint Chepstow say they are looking forward to working alongside and helping to support such an excellent cause and getting involved in some exciting fundraising events throughout the year.
Basepoint Business Centres are owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading grant making charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need. Each of the centres is dedicated to fundraising for a selected charity. The ACT Foundation match funds any money raised by the chosen charity, up to the value of £10,000 per centre.
Tania Ansell, of St David’s Hospice Care, said: “We are delighted that Basepoint has chosen us as their charity of the year. We have already enjoyed working with Basepoint and we look forward to doing so again over the coming months to raise money to help to pay for the services we provide free to people, in their times of greatest need, throughout our community.”
