A Tredegar film company is aiming for expansion following a rebranding exercise.
With support from the Kickstart programme run by Tata subsidiary UK Steel Enterprise and Blaenau Gwent Council, Griffin Film and Video is aiming to grow its portfolio of work and draw in a wider range of larger clients.
Principal Gareth Griffin has had involvement with major blockbuster movies including Wrath of the Titans, Skyfall and the BBC series Baker Boys. The firm presently produces corporate films for upmarket bars and clubs and other organisations. Examples can be seen on the firm's new website www.griffinfilmandvideo.co.uk.
“The rebranding will help us approach bigger organisations and my aim is to be involved in larger projects in coming years,” said Gareth.
“The funding support from the Kickstart programme has been excellent and we would not be moving forward with our relaunch without it.”
Kickstart initially provided a £1000 grant, and now a further £680 has supported the relaunch of the firm.
Kim Robinson, of UK Steel Enterprise, said: "Griffin Film and Video has added to the pool of creative companies here in North Gwent and we are delighted to have been able to offer support. We wish Gareth all success with the relaunch.”
Louise Harris, of Blaenau Gwent Council, said: "We are delighted to have supported Gareth via the Kick Start programme to start the business and again with Kick Start Plus funding. The rebranding will allow the business to develop even further and we wish them every success for the future.”
