A Caerphilly-based business insurance website has launched a community fund project aimed at giving back to the local community.
The project, launched by www.constructaquote.com, will look to back the community’s grassroots and those most in need of financial donations and support.
Since being founded, constructaquote.com has provided more than 160,000 insurance policies and is now looking to give something back.
It is urging members of the local community to apply and nominate worthy beneficiaries.
Fleur De Lys under 10s football team were the first to benefit from the fund. The team was provided with new kits from constructaquote.com, which is also sponsoring the team throughout the season.
All applications will be reviewed by internal ambassadors who will be changed quarterly to ensure a fair say on how funds are distributed.
Lyndon Wood, founder of constructaquote.com, said: “I can’t tell you how excited I am to launch this project. I’ve worked hard to make sure that my business instils care into our company culture and as a Welsh company, we’re very proud of our roots and want to give something back to the local community in South Wales.
“This money could make a real difference to those applying, so it’s an honour for us to be in a position to help these people or groups out. I really urge anyone who thinks that the money could help them, or someone they know, to get in touch and apply via our website.”
