Amanda Davies, chief executive of the Seren Group will be the guest speaker at the Dragons of Newport business networking Big Breakfast event on Wednesday, June 10.

More than 100 business owners and representatives from companies and organisation from across south east Wales are expected to attend the popular quarterly free event, which is being held in the Bisley Suite at Newport's Rodney Parade.

The meeting will include facilitated networking sessions enabling participants to make and renew contacts with fellow members of the local business community.

John Newell, chairman of the networking group, said: “Under Amanda’s leadership the Seren Group has grown significantly and now provides affordable housing and support to more than 2,000 people across Wales and the west of England, employs 1,200 people and has 6,000 homes.

"Amanda is a highly-respected business leader, has a thorough knowledge of the local economy and I’m sure will inspire and provide valuable information that our guests at the event will be able to take away with them and use to benefit their businesses.”

The Dragons of Newport Networking Group is an independent not-for-profit collective of local businesses who meet weekly to generate business opportunities for each other. In 2014, £565,685 of invoiced work was refereed by group members.
