Gwent Wildlife Trust is calling on people working for companies of all sizes throughout Gwent to pit their wits against each other in their annual fundraising challenge for businesses, the Corporate £50 Challenge.
Participants in the challenge will receive a loan of £50 from Gwent Wildlife Trust, and have 12 weeks to see how much they can raise. Last year, Gabb & Co pipped Barclays Bank to the winning post, by raising more than £600 with their seed fund.
The challenge is sponsored by Ancre Hill Estates, who have invited all participating teams for cheese and wine at the launch June 4 at the vineyard in Monmouth. At the event, signed up teams will be given their fundraising packs, have a chance to network and be given their £50 note.
Debbie Stenner joined the team at GWT as senior fundraising and partnerships officer in March and is looking for businesses large and small, from throughout the Gwent region, to take part.
She said: “The corporate challenge is a fun and motivational activity that people working at all size and shape of business can take part in, raising vital funds to protect Gwent’s natural landscapes. It’s a great way to show staff, customers and suppliers that you’re a team of entrepreneurial people who care about the natural environment we all love.”
For more information contact Debbie Stenner on 01600 740600 or email dstenner@gwentwildlife.org by Friday, May 15.
