Starting life as a bespoke software development company before expanding its services to include cyber security consultancy, Accelero Digital has seen vast change in the digital landscape of Wales since its formation in 2006.
With recent headlines bringing home the severity of the threats faced by organisations of all sizes, Accelero now provides assistance to organisations seeking the government-backed Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Accelero MD Kelvin Jones said: “It’s all well and good developing secure software but if our clients aren’t up-to-date with current security developments, they’re more at risk than they perhaps realise.”
It is an issue Kelvin will discuss alongside fellow South Wales Cyber Security Cluster members at Digital 2015.
“Events like Digital 2015 are important for Welsh businesses, as not only do they demonstrate the great expertise we have across the digital industry here in Wales, but they provide the opportunity to share best practices and help our peers combat the threats we all face when working in the digital world.”
To demonstrate the potential consequences of a data breach, Accelero will have a display hive of honey bees at Digital 2015.
“We don’t want companies to be stung by cybercrime,” said Kelvin, “we want them to be able to protect their networks as best they can.”
Kelvin will join the South Wales Cyber Security Cluster panel at Digital 2015 on Tuesday June 9 at 11am.
Accelero, and the bees, are exhibiting at Digital 2015 and can be found on Stand 20.
