As delegates gather for tech festival Digital 2015 at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Tech Dragons has launched as the home of the Welsh technology scene.
It is an innovative online resource and organisation designed to promote Wales’s growing technology industry and to become an effective voice for it.
It will also work with notable Welsh tech organisations such as Cardiff Start, Welsh ICE and TechHub Swansea to create an industry that is united.
Rich content is at the forefront of Tech Dragons. The website sports hubs where those working in the industry can submit information about their tech start-ups as well as any upcoming events and jobs.
Also, Tech Dragons will actively publish industry news, interviews, features and columns on a blog edited by technology journalist Nicholas Fearn. This way, the industry’s hard work will be available for all to see.
Nicholas Fearn, co-founder and editor of Tech Dragons, said: “Wales is a proud and patriotic country with so much going for it - especially when it comes to tech and business.
“Over the last few years, the industry has grown and become a force of nature in its own right. South Wales is already one of Tech City UK’s fastest-growing tech clusters, and I am confident that the rest of Wales can follow this path.
“I want to see Tech Dragons promote the success of the industry so it can grow into an independent tech and enterprise powerhouse the whole world is aware of. That may seem ambitious, but with the amount of talent this country sports, it is not impossible."
