PEDAL power created £1,500 for St David’s Hospice Care from Monmouthshire serviced office business Basepoint.
Chloe Geoghegan, assistant centre manager at Basepoint, Chepstow, took part in the Dalmatian Bike Ride.
She said: “Basepoint was really proud to support the Dalmatian Bike Ride. It was really well organised, well attended and most importantly a lot of fun.
“The atmosphere on the day was fantastic both before the riders departed and when we made our triumphant return to Caerleon. I was a little sore the next day, but it was well worth it for a fabulous day and a brilliant cause.”
Tania Ansell, of St David’s Hospice Care, said: “It was great having Chloe from Basepoint Chepstow supporting the Dalmatian Bike Ride this year. With a record number of 350 cyclists for this event there was a fantastic atmosphere. Chloe entered into the spirit of the ride by getting her face painted too.
“We are incredibly grateful to Basepoint Chepstow for their support by match-funding the event to £1,500 and for their participation on the day. This event is a great way to raise crucial funds for the hospice and we would like to thank everyone who supported.”
South Wales paralympic champion Mark Colbourne, of Tredegar, started the popular cycling event, which raises thousands of pounds each year for the Newport-based hospice charity.
Mark supported the event by providing sponsorship through his business, Global Cycling Camps.Com
