Independent lender Henry Howard Finance claimed victory in a five-a-side football tournament which raised more than £8,000 for charity.
The Newport-based lender beat 15 other finance company teams to claim the Adam Massen Memorial Cup at St George’s Park, the Football Association’s National Football Centre, in Staffordshire.
The tournament, hosted by finance broker Aldermore, raised the money for Headway, a charity which helps people with brain injuries live as independently as possible.
Lee Relish, asset finance sale coordinator at HHF, which is based at Langstone Business Park, said: “We enjoyed a great day at St George’s Park and winning the final match 4-0 was clearly the icing on the cake for us.”
Mark Crook, founder and chief operating officer at HHF, said: “The HHF team performed really well today, their positive attitude contributes to our success both on and off the pitch. We will continue to support this worthwhile charity year on year.”
This year’s tournament exceeded the £6,000 raised for Headway by last year’s event.
