A former council office block at the gateway to Rassau Industrial Estate has been re-named Access 465 and is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment scheme.

The building which was bought by Latham Properties from Blaenau Gwent Borough Council in a £550,000 deal negotiated on behalf of the council by GVA Grimley in Cardiff.

GVA Grimley has subsequently been appointed by Latham Properties, together with Caerphilly-based Brinsons, who advised upon the purchase, to market the modern 10,500 sq ft office space, formerly known as Enterprise House.

Situated on the A465, mid-way between Abergavenny and Merthyr Tydfil, Access 465 is one of the very few purpose built office developments along the whole of the Heads of Valleys Road.

Richard Latham, Director of Latham Properties, said: "The building has considerable scope for refurbishment to provide modern, flexible office space with excellent on-site car parking. We are undertaking a complete refurbishment which will include provision of a new feature full height entrance.

"Access 465 can satisfy either open plan or cellular office requirements" said Stuart Ramsey, regional head of office agency and development at GVA Grimley. "A new lift is to be installed as part of the refurbishment plans and we can sub-divide to suit specific occupier needs from 840 sq ft"

"The Heads of the Valleys is an established commercial location, although there have been very few office developments along this strategic link road," said Trevor Isaac, partner of Brinsons in Caerphilly. "Good quality refurbished stock remains in high demand and we expect Access 465 to appeal to both local companies or national brands who need to serve the north valleys areas.

"The offices are situated within a Tier One area, so benefiting from maximum levels of grant assistance" said Trevor.
