If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

Frank Sinatra - I would like to understand how he stayed at the top for so long, plus he would have great stories.

What is your biggest fear?

People lose faith in their own city, Newport. It's not going away, and it will get a lot better. If we get behind it, it will be brilliant again.

Do you have any superstitions?

No yet, but I can't watch Wales play rugby on my own - I get too worked up.

If you could have one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?

Elbow - one day like this.

What's the most expensive thing you've bought not including your property?

Has to be my kids car insurance as it costs more than the cars.

What is the best piece of advice you've been given?

Do your homework, understand what you want to achieve, and then go back and check your homework.

What's your indulgence?

Understanding beer and brands - I really believe that we lead the world in producing great beer, and likewise hospitality.

What item could you not live without?

My phone and my debit card.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?

Would like to get rid of my superpowers, it's a constant drain!

Where are you next going on holiday?

Short holidays are great, keep you energised, so off for a week in Majorca in September .
