If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

My mum. We have a lot to catch up on.

What is your biggest fear?

The wasp.

Do you have any superstitions?

I never leave the house on a weekday but I'm working on it.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

'Heroes' by David Bowie. I've already been listening to it for nearly twenty years so I'm pretty confident I wouldn't tire of its uplifting sentiment.

What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?

An air ticket to India.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

"Just forget it."

What is your indulgence?

After-dinner speeches.

What item could you not live without?

A guitar.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

My beard.

Where are you next going on holiday?

I'm never off holiday.
