If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
Tony Benn. Fascinating man.
I’d love to meet him one day.
What is your biggest fear?
I go a bit queasy at the sight of blood.
Do you have any superstitions?
Can’t say I believe in superstitions, however I do tend to avoid pavement cracks for reasons I’m at a loss to explain.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Echoes by Pink Floyd.
Beautiful and long song that would take a lifetime to become repetitive.
What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?
A shared car with my girlfriend.
The head gasket went two months later and we got rid of it shortly after.
Walking is underrated anyway.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Before speaking about something, allow yourself a short moment to consider what you’ve got to say.
Naturally, as a councillor, I’ve ignored this advice plenty.
What is your indulgence?
I’d like to say books, but in reality my love of sweets eclipses everything.
What item could you not live without?
My smartphone.
These days you can do pretty much anything from a phone.
That being said, mine’s a bit broken at the moment and I’m still alive.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d be more decisive. I think.
Not sure, actually.
Where are you next going on holiday?
Hopefully visiting my brother in Denmark for Easter.
He’s currently studying Biomedical Sciences in Odense.
