FIVE minutes with Newport's Andrew Corten, who was crowned British Pool Champion in 2009.
If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
A famous American pool player called Earl Strickland. He's a very interesting guy and has views aren't like most people's so it's entertaining to listen to him.
What is your biggest fear?
Heights which is funny as I'm a bricklayer and often up on a roof. I certainly wouldn't want to be any higher such as at the top of a mountain.
Do you have any superstitions?
I don't have any at all. I'm happy to walk under ladders and things like that.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. It's the song that I listen to before playing pool and it helps get me pumped so it would definitely be that.
What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?
A Peugeot 206 CC which cost me about £18, 000.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
To never give up under any circumstances and it's worked well for me.
What is your indulgence?
Watches and mobile phones. I always need to have a nice watch on me and I always tend to have the latest mobile phone.
What item could you not live without?
Definitely my mobile phone.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd like to be a lot more controlled in what I do. Away from the pool table I am normally calm but when I'm playing I can get wound up quite easily.
Where are you next going on holiday?
I'm going to Weymouth with the family in the summer.
