Cwmbran poet, Francis Hicks, 63, who has written her first book of poems, From the Heart, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
Tom Jones – I’ve loved him and his music for years.
What is your biggest fear?
Spiders and robots
Do you have any superstitions?
Not particularly, but I don’t think I’d walk under a ladder.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Song to the Moon by Renee Fleming. It’s from the opera Rusalka and it really moved me. I want it played at my funeral.
What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?
A car.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
My mum’s piece of advice to me is don’t judge people before you know the situation.
What is your indulgence?
I love to sing – I belong to two choirs and I enjoy it so much. I also love chocolate.
What item could you not live without?
Nothing in particular, I’m not very materialistic.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d like to be a bit taller! But nothing major.
Where are you next going on holiday?
I haven’t got anything booked but I’ve been looking at holidays in Greece, I’ve always wanted to go there.
