Friends
Since leaving school and collage I’ve only kept in touch with only a handful of friends.
Three of those friends Alun on the left, John in the middle and Wayne on the right, are pictured here in this photo on way to me and Kelly’s engagement party in a limousine.
I met Alun when he went to Lewis Boys school, but we hardly saw or spoke to each other due to being in separate classes and at the time I pretty much kept myself to myself as I was bullied during my time at school.
It was after I left school and went out for a drink one night with my mate Wayne that I saw Alun in a club and we got chatting as my mate Wayne also knew Alun and they were friends.
Wayne and I had planned to go out at the end of that same month and Alun came along and we’ve remained friends from then on.
John I met through another friend when I was talking about putting a band together, John had wrote some songs such as a song titled “I Hate School” it was the same kind of song as Motley Crue Smoking in the Boys Room but with other lyrics.
The band never took place however John and I remained friends.
Wayne and myself became friends for due to being fans of Shakin’ Stevens and then we both found out we was both into other music such as Whitesnake, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Meat Loaf among other rock artists and bands, we had a lot in common and become very close friends and to this day we still remain like brothers even though we don’t see each other like we used to.
Teacher
When I was in Lewis Boys I was getting bullied a lot and as much as I got on very well with all the teachers at the school I become friends with Mr Oliver who is in the photo with me when I went to the school to be part of their Christmas Concert.
My favourite lesson was History and Mr Oliver was my History teacher when I was in year 7.
I also become friends with Mr Parry who was my History teacher in year 8 but sadly I’ve not had a photo with him.
Every now and then I keep in touch with Mr Oliver and ask him to let everyone know I was asking about them.
Comedy
I’ve always been a big lover of comedy and I’m a fan of a few comedians such as Tommy Cooper and Lee Evens, but my all time two favourites are Freddie Starr and Roy Chubby Brown.
I got to go and see them last year with my wife Kelly and we had a photo after the show together.
I got to meet Roy and he’s one of the nicest guys you could meet, he signed my program and then we had a photo, it really meant and still and will always mean a lot to me.
Elvis
In 2013 when I become an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) I performed at the Hi-Tide and The Rock Inn Pub in Porthcawl over the Elvis Festival and I loved every second of it.
There was a lot of photos taken of me at the festival and this one was taken by a friend and fan of mine Kath Bluebird Williams who always takes great photos of me and kindly lets me use them on my posters and album covers, and I can’t thank Kath enough.
The first year was very special to me because it was the first time for me to be performing in front of big crowds of people.
I had performed in front of crowds before but nothing pre-pared me for the Elvis festival.
I performed at the same festival last year and I can’t wait for this year’s festival because not only do I love performing there but I love seeing my ETA friends and meeting new people.
Family
Besides my wife, friends, Elvis and my parents (in this picture) the most important thing in my life are my six children (three of which are from my previous marriage).
Left to right they are Levi, Kaitlyn, Tiarna, Elizabeth, Kara-Jay and Julius.
I love being the fun daddy who dose silly things to make them laugh.
