Here in Ebbw Vale, the food bank, run by Amanda Davies and her team of volunteers, does an amazing job of dealing with people in crisis, due mainly to benefit cuts or loss of their jobs due to this government’s legislation.
The food bank in Festival Church has had more than 2,500 clients and it continues to rise week in week out. If it were not for the good will and generosity of the people of Blaenau Gwent many would go without. From what I see this government would rather have you go back to the19th century where people who had no money just went without. Amanda and her team will help you as much as they can and put you in touch with agencies that may be able to help.
